In an effort to drive innovation and streamline operations, the Windows and Web Experiences (WWE) team at Microsoft is undergoing a restructuring. Mikhail Parakhin, a key player in the team, has decided to take on new roles within the WWE team.
As part of the restructuring, the Windows Experiences and Windows + Devices teams will be combined under the Experiences + Devices (E+D) division. Pavan Davuluri will lead the combined team, with Shilpa Ranganathan and Jeff Johnson reporting to him. The Web Experiences team will now report to Mustafa in the Microsoft AI organization.
Jordi Ribas will lead Search, Maps, and Platforms, with Andrey Proskurin, Fatima Kardar, and Nick Lee reporting to him. Rukmini Iyer will lead Advertising, with Paul Viola and Weiqing Tu reporting to her. Mike Davidson will continue to lead Design and will work with Pavan and the team on realigning Windows design.
Despite the changes, roles of Ali Akgun, Kya Sainsbury-Carter, Qi Zhang, and Rajesh Sundaram remain unchanged as they join the Microsoft AI leadership team. The team’s main goal is to help Microsoft AI in building world-class consumer AI products, including Copilot.
This restructuring is part of a broader effort to streamline operations and foster innovation in AI products across E+D products and services. The new team structure is aimed at driving Microsoft’s AI initiatives forward and achieving its goals of delivering cutting-edge consumer AI products.
